The Astronomical Association of Southern Illinois returns on Friday, April 10 for an evening of discovery, relaxation, and stunning views of the night sky. Telescopes will be set up for guests to enjoy glimpses of Jupiter, Venus, and other celestial highlights, offering a unique opportunity to experience astronomy up close. The event pairs the beauty of the cosmos with a relaxed atmosphere, where visitors can enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the stars.
This family friendly event offers something for all ages. AASI will host hands on activities for kids, making it both fun and educational for younger attendees. Guests are encouraged to arrive early especially those bringing their own telescopes as volunteers will be available to assist with setup and answer questions, making the experience accessible for beginners and enthusiasts alike.
Viewing begins at 7:00 PM, inviting the community to gather for an engaging and memorable night under the stars.
