Rend Lake College Presents the 2026 Spring Musical: Cabaret

Rend Lake College is excited to announce its 2026 Spring Musical, Cabaret! Directed by RLC Music Professor Sara Alstat-Sanders, this show takes you to a lively Berlin nightclub at the end of the 1920s.

The Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience with a promise: a night full of fun and entertainment. But behind the music and dancing, Cabaret shows the challenges and changes in Berlin as Germany faces hard times and political shifts.

The story follows Cliff, a young American writer new to Berlin, who quickly becomes interested in the charming English singer Sally Bowles. At the same time, boarding house owner Fräulein Schneider starts a slow romance with Herr Schultz, a kind Jewish fruit seller.
